Making a bigger mess.

Life can be funny sometimes.

I have been involved in the lives of many families of twins.  Never in my life did I think I would be joining that rank.

Like I said...Life can be funny sometimes.

In January, my family of four will quickly jump to a family of six.  This was not originally in my family plan.  Then again...when does life ever follow our plan?

Isiah 55:8
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.

My happy, crazy, busy, messy family is about to get a little bit happier, crazier, busier, and messier.

One of the most frequent statements I find myself getting from family, friends, and strangers is:

"You're going to have your hands full!"

Instead of feeling offended I just chuckle and think:

Have you met my other children? My hands are already full!  What's a couple more?

My usual response to that statement is a resounding "Yes I am!" with a giant smile.

Would I have it any other way?  NOPE!  I just remember that my thoughts aren't God's thoughts and my ways aren't God's ways.

Am I prepared for the crazy?  -No.

Am I prepared for the busy?  -No.

Am I prepared for the happy?  -I think I am.

Am I prepared for the mess?  -What's more mess?
